Construction of frame houses using panel-frame technology
Frame housing is a simple, lightweight, and mobile alternative to traditional houses. And panel-frame technology is a construction method for such housing, which involves manufacturing all the structural elements directly in the factory. Ready-made walls, intermediate floors, and roof are delivered to the construction site. Experts from “Module-Prefab” will explain the advantages of frame-panel houses, how they are built, and the materials used for this purpose.
Types of frame technologies:
Two technologies are used for the construction of modular houses: panel-frame and frame-panel.
More about it:
The difference between panel-frame technology and frame-panel technology lies in the fact that the manufactured materials (walls, partitions, roof) are assembled on-site. Moreover, the layout can be modified during the construction process. The assembly process is also independent of weather conditions: the construction of frame-panel houses is possible at any time of the year.
“Module-Prefab” company manufactures frame-panel houses in its own production facility in Lviv. Our workshops have a total area of 2200m2 and are equipped with modern equipment. We use safe insulation materials such as Icynene foam or basalt wool.
Having our own workshops allows us to manufacture frame houses throughout the year. The assembly of such housing on-site takes no more than 2 weeks, so you can get your own house very quickly.
Features of prefabricated frame houses
Frame construction technology has several important advantages, including:
- Passive house - a residence that meets the highest standards of energy efficiency.
- Environmental friendliness — modern, safe materials are used for construction.
- Mobility — the house can be transported to another location or built on a hard-to-reach site.
- Quick assembly — only two weeks, and your new home is ready.
- Cost and quality — the planning and final price of the house are fixed when signing the contract. No surprises.
- Smart home — the possibility of equipping the house with a modern Smart Home system.
Main stages of frame construction
Frame-panel houses are built in 4 stages:
- Foundation – the optimal foundation site is dry, elevated, and without a high water table. For house construction, shallow foundations are used, such as concrete blocks, strip foundations, or columnar foundations.
- The frame of the house. For the installation of frame-panel houses, ready-made factory panels are used, with which works on insulation and laying of internal communications have been previously carried out in the workshop. For prefabricated wooden houses, dried boards with a width of 95 mm to 200 mm and a thickness of 45 mm are used.
- Walls. – at this stage, finishing exterior and interior work is done. The walls can be clad with siding, paneling, or other materials with high resistance to weather conditions.
- Roof – most frame buildings have a gable roof. Roofing material can vary, such as metal tiles, metal profiled sheets, or soft roofing.
That’s it! The house is erected and fully ready for living

How long does it take to assemble a frame house?
The assembly of a prefabricated frame house on-site takes up to 2 weeks. Ready-made elements manufactured in factory conditions are delivered to the site, and only assembly is performed on-site.
What are the advantages of building a frame-panel house?
Frame-panel houses are modern, mobile, and environmentally friendly. The construction cost of such housing is significantly lower compared to a traditional brick house.
